dear forum I have problem with ex.mon I capture with pinnacle studio deluxe with avi file and my vga is pixel view FX5600 ,why I cant not open the ex.monitor becose im work with 2 monitor 1for vegas and secons monitor to preview the signal mon,2 out from box pinnacle with s vidio to my comverter external is the problem with my pinnacle ...thx.frederick

The problem is the Pinnacle card. It's proprietary. You need an OHCI compliant Firewire card.

if I buy ohci firewire cant I use the ex.mon or I change the pinnacle card with canopus advc 100 ....thx.spot

Only way to drive ext monitor is via 1394. From there you have a choice of boxes but ADVC-100 would be a good one.
