Have you gone to 'Help' (F1) and typed in 'external monitor'? There is quiet a lot of info there. After following those steps, if you are still having problems, let us know exactly what they are. Cin

First, tell us exactly what you have and how/where it is connected. Is it an "external monitor" or is it a second monitor, otherwise known as (I think) Windows Secondary Display?

Thanks for the replys you guys.
It is a secondary Display / Windows XP, the second monitor is plugged in to the back of my Acer Laptop.
I'm going to try the F1 help option and see if I can get it to work.
Thanks again, Jim

Ok, the box is checked for the second display, but still the same thing. My laptop will function properly with the preveiw but all I get on the external monitor is the screen saver, even when I click on the bottton for the external monitor by the preveiw window.

Presumably you've enabled the second monitor in Windows display settings or you wouldn't see the screen saver. Have you also checked "extend my desktop onto this monitor"?

Go into PREFERENCES and choose PREVIEW DEVICE and for the DEVICE make sure that WINDOWS SECONDARY DISPLAY is chosen.
