external monitor aricitect 8

why won't architect 8 recognize my external monitor. when i go to preferences to adjust it, i only get the option for none.

What exactly is your external monitor and how is it connected?

sorry --- architect 4.5---came with vegas 8.
the monitor has worked with every earlyer version of architect. samsung

They accidentally released DVDA 4.5 without an external monitor driver (or the folder it's supposed to reside in, for that matter). If you still have a previous version installed, copy its Video Hardware Drivers folder (the whole thing) into the DVD Architect 4.5 folder.
