external preview

Hi! I got a proble with "Print to tape". When I command to print to tape from time line it seems renders but doesn't record in dv. Also camcorder monitor doesn't show the time line play back, though in the computer preview it shows "preview external monitor" I think camcorder monitor preview and recording are comeing from the same problem. Seeking help. Please.

Hi Aerie,

Please post your system, DV-card, project settings, type of camera/recorder, the folders where you have assigned temporary files and pre-render files.

My system: dell P4 256 ram, windows 2000,Gforge video card,sony vx2000.
Intersting thing I did record same project few weeks before with the same camcorder and it workded well. Now made some new cuts in the project and tried to print back to the tape and found this problem.

You might try a small test project to see if the system is the problem or the Project has a problem.

You might also try to PTT from capture after rendering the project to DV avi.

If you are in a hurry, you might capture the first PTT back into Vegas and make the changes. You won't have to render the whole thing again, just the changes.

Thanks MTH, I realized if I put the connector to the tv from camcorder it desapears the camcorder preview. But disconnection makes it ok, though few weeks before I connected my tv with the camcorder and watched well. Anyway thanks for the help.
