External Preview Help

I am in the market for a new video card. I would like to know if any of you have any experience with sending the external preview to your video monitor via the s-video jack on the video card itself. Can someone explain how that is possible without using my external camera as a proxy?

bottom line , no , better off with the firewire output.

What would you include on the search string to narrow it down? I get a lot of irrelevant material.
