External preview stopped working

My problem is identical to that reported in this thread:

External Preview stopped working

Two people reported the problem, but no one had an answer.

Preview works fine in Vegas.

I am using DVDA 2.0a (Build 121). The video device is shown correctly in the Preferences dialog.

I found a workaround. If you go to the Video tab in the Preferences dialog, and change the Format from NTSC DV to NTSC DV Widescreen, the external preview starts working. If you then go back to this dialog and change it back to the normal setting, the external preview continues to work.
