external TV monitor

I have my system set up with a TV monitor by passing it through my firewire port through an old video Camera. I would like to stop using this old camera and was wondering what type of PCI card would work on the external monitor. I prefer to use a TV since it gives me more accurate colors for my editing. I do have two Computer monitors set up with my video card, but it will not work with the TV. I was wondering if a video capture card would to the tirck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Believe it or not, telepathy is not one of my traits. ;-)
You don't tell us what kind of graphics card setup you have now, if you are using two PC monitors or not, what kind of ports they have, and neither you are telling us what kind of a TV this is, what kind of ports it's got.

My video card is a Radon 2650. It has two DVI outputs and an S-video output. The TV I am using is a cheap Walmart 10 incher with composite inputs (i.e. one standard RCA plug for video and two for audio) and a coax input. I have been using the composite inputs out of the old video camera to the TV. The card came with an adapter for a HD output which plugs into the S-video plug and then puts the video signial into 3 RCA type plugs.

Sorry I did not provide this data earlier, but I was under the assumption that I needed a new capture card and was looking for some advice.

Thanks for the help.

Sorry, this didn't make sense. S-Video and RCA have nothing to do with HD ports, which are component or HDMI, definitely not S-Video or RCA.

So, the way to do this right now is to use one PC monitor on the DVI port, and then the RCA-out from your video card to your TV monitor. During that time, you can't use the second DVI port, because the graphics card only has two "tuners".

If you want to use BOTH your PC monitors, and a TV, you buy a second card, preferably of the same maker, that has the right TV outputs for you. Either in PCI or PCI Express. If you just want one PC monitor and a TV, you are good, you are using one DVI port for the PC monitor, and the RCA out for your TV.

Computer monitors can be *calibrated* to correct color .. as far as I know TV's cannot. I fail to see why you want to use a TV.
