Extra content on DVD?

I'm trying to add a folder of photo's that is a compilation on my DVD so users can explore and print an individual picture. I thought I discovered the setting in "project properties/extra's folders" but when I burned the project, no extra folder of pictures.

Has anyone done this successfully?
thanks in advance,
Michael

I'm not a DVDA expert, but I'm wondering if you forgot to add the "Extras" subfolder on the HD. Example: the doc says that if you specify "c:\my_dvd_project" in "File > Properties > Extra Folder" , then you have to put the files in "c:\my_dvd_project\extras" on the HD.

If that's not it, then are you looking for the files using a PC or a DVD player, because according to the doc these files can only be found when browsing on a PC. (I realize that may be an obvious thing, but sometimes it helps to ask the obvious!)

Thanks for the response.

I'm pretty confident that I pointed the "file>properties>Extra Folder in the right place. Is there a specific location that DVDA wants these files? Also, I did look for the files after I burned the DVD. Only 2 folders, one for video & one for audio.

Any other ideas? thanks.

I've added picture compilations to menu-based DVD's, to do what you mentioned. After adding the picture compilation, I double click on that item in the menu tree, and add photos from the explorer. I've found that .jpg don't work very well, but .png does. IE, no resampling for .png. I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 to edit photos, and it allows saving as .png, which I then add to the picture compilation in DVDA.

When I run Preview, the main menu now shows a button for pictures, and when I click on that the slideshow proceeds.

Hope this helps . .

Thanks Rick. I was able to create the slideshow on the DVD with music underneath. That plays fine. I wanted to add a folder on the DVD that someone could use their PC/explorer to print individual pictures. Seems like there's a way to do that but it didn't work for me or I did something wrong.

thanks for responding,
Michael
