Extract Audio from CD

When I go to Media Pool to extract audio from CD, the selection of songs on the CD doesn't show up. The window is empty. Any ideas?

Do you have more than one CD drive in your computer? If so, are you choosing the one that has the CD in it?

Yes I am. I have one dvd player and one dvd burner. I usually put the CD in the player and the selections appear automatically. I clicked the down arrow for DRIVE and the only option is NONE. I also clicked REFRESH and nothing happens. I put ACID 4.O in and tried to open in Vegas 5 EXPLORER, but nothing plays.

Sounds like your hardware is not getting recognized by Windows (maybe a cable got jiggled loosed) Can you access a disk in that drive from Windows Explorer? Can you play the CD tracks in Media Player?

Yes, I can access a disk in the drive from Win Exp and play the tracks in Media Player.
