extracting and editing clips from a long avi file

prayergarden wrote on 2/10/2003, 5:43 AM
Just learning VV. How do I best extract and edit several clips from one long / 2 hour avi file. I have tried splitting the clip; but autoripple causes the segments to overlap and become confusing to a newbie.

Thanks

Hi,

You might try loading the long file in the trimmer, and making regions of the material you like. Then you can drag each region up to the timeline.
