Extracting Audio

I extracted audio from a cd, when I import to the timeline is sounds distored, it's not a mp3 file the file is .wav file. Does anyone know why it doesn't sound crisp clear? thanks in advance

It should be an exact duplicate of the CD tracks. Be sure you have no plugins enabled in the track/s and all faders are set to 0 dB.
