Face animation software?

Hi all. I'm looking for software that will allow me to take a still image of a face and animate it - blinking eyes, mouth moving - expressions changing etc. I seem to recall a thread on this some time back but cannot track it down.

I only need it in 2D and it does not need to sync to audio. I looked at CrazyTalk but it's a bit expensive for what I want.

All recommendations appreciated.

CrazyTalk Standard is $50. How much are you prepared to pay?

I would love freeware. I looked at "sqirlz lite" and it seems to sort of do the job but somewhere on this board, quite awhile ago, there was a thread about some other freeware that was dedicated to just face animation.

All I need is some subtle variations of the face to apply to individual faces in a crowd. Eye blinks, brow lifts, mouth twists etc.

All help appreciated.

You could edit the images in Gimp & use Vegas to animate between them. A transition may give what you want.

Thanks HappyFriar! However - After some experimentation SqirlzMorph does what I need it to do (some subtle face animation for selected faces in a still pic of a crowd) - and it's free!
