Facebook Video Aspect Ratio

Hi Guys,

First of all I am not a native English speaker. So, if there are some grammatical mistakes kindly ignore them.

Well I am new to Video Editing, got familiar with Sony Vegas with recently from two months. I have started creating video memes for Facebook page. I'll try to explain my problem with help of screen shots.

This is the video I rendered in Vegas with 1920 x 1080 frame width and height. However, the aspect ratio of it looks really bad after posting it on facebook.

I want a aspect ratio of to look something like these two ss.

Check the aspect ratio of both the videos looks great. Could anyone please let me know what are the settings that I should rendered the video in to get the aspect ratio of the above given screen shots.

Thanks in advance for the help.

For Facebook an 1:1 square picture aspect ratio is recommended. You could use any raster of 8x8 pixels, just like 800x800 720x720 etc.

Beware of your source video usually completely differs from such an 1:1 picture aspect ratio (probably 16:9) so you would need to crop the video in Vegas Pro before rendering.
