Hello,
I know how to create transitions of a standard length between clips but I can't work out how to create a fade in and out of a standard length for a title which I have put on a separate video track.
Could someone advise me please<
Thanks
Johnj

You can either drag the edges from the top corner of the title event or apply a transition to the end of the title event by dropping it there.

FADE IN AND OUT

What's interesting is that the SONY VEGAS HELP doesn't seem to address FADE IN or FADE OUT. Can anyone find out how to do a fade in or out in HELP?

Using "fade" as the search term, it's under "Fades, Event".
