I think if you deactivate that little icon right above it that looks like a split black and white screen, that might fix it.

Okay so I did that and the square went away. The redness is still present during fades though. Do you know how to fix the redness??? Thanks

So "that little icon" toggles effects or a preview of your clipboard, but what is going on under the preview window in your screen grab? Looks like you've got track 4 & 5 composited - is that the source of the red/black box?

Hmm I see that and did not know.... how do I diasable the parent composite mode.....?

I disabled the composite mode and still the red hue appears during fade??

Did you change the composite mode on both tracks back to "source(alpha)", under "un-parent" the second track (click the odd little arrow button).   :)

Looks to me like what you would get if the top track was masking the lower track, and then you lower the opacity of the tracks you would get a red hue if the the upper track was set to mask(multiply).
