Fade-to-black is different with color correction

Hey, Sony Vegasers!

Well, I've never heard anyone talk about this particular instance before, and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it or how to change it.
Whenever I add color correction to the entire track, the fade-to-black action looks different, like it fades from the outside in. When there is no color correction applied or when I apply the color correction to an individual clip, the fade-to-black is normal and fades the entire image...It's a little difficult to describe but one way you can see what I mean is by testing it for yourself.
I wanted to know if there was a way to fix this happening when adding color correction to the whole track, or if I'll just need to add the coloring to each clip individually (because doing Shift-click to Paste Event Attributes removes any other effects or zoom actions that were made on any of the clips in the project).
Please and thanks for any help someone could give me on this!

xx SS

It may be because the CC FX is effecting the clip during fade so it makes things look unexpected.

To do fades to black, I usually insert a new track at the top of the timeline, add a generated solid black event, than fade into it. I do that because it will do a fade to (or from) black with a multilayered composited track. This would also fix your problem.

By the way, the black I fade to is usually an sRGB black of RGB 16,16,16.

Don't forget that you can also add color correction at the clip level with the media fx option.

Thank you so much, Laurence!! You've been very helpful. I know I can add color correction to each clip individually, but for the way I work that's sort of a pain...Thanks again!

Be aware that the color correction on the track will do strange things to your transitions as well.

Yes, I've noticed that, too...Wouldn't it be wonderful if we were able to Paste Event Attributes selectively? That would solve everything.

Actually Vegasaur can do that and I believe the free Timeline Tools from Gary James has a similar function.
