if there are no track headers at all, they may have unintentionally been collapsed. Use the mouse to drag the LH edge of the timeline to the right - that should reveal the track headers.

Shift - F11 can hide/restore the track headers as well.

Thank you! This worked. I thought I should be able to click and drag the track window to the right, because the highlight looked right. However, it didn't work. As I said, your suggestion did though.

Thank you. I thought this would work too, and when I clicked and started to drag, the display on the mouse looked as though it would open the fader back up. However, it didn't open the faders. Another "friend" suggested I click Shift-f11 and that did bring the faders back though. Take care.
