Fading Buttons In/Out

Is there a way in DVDA2 to fade a button in over time? I have a short intro video playing PIP on a background that I'd like to use as my main menu. When the video ends I'd like to fade it out and fade in my buttons ("play movie" and "scene selection") in the spot where the video was playing. I want a seamless effect rather than playing an introduction media and then jumping to a menu page. So is there a way to vary the transparency of a button overtime?

Sorry No.

You would have to split the file into additional cells and edit a special part
of the VOB file called the navigation stream. You are also limited in how
much information can be presented in the subpicture as everything must sync
up correctly or you have problems in playback (the looping audio
bug is an example)

The DVD Demystified Book second edition has this as an example but
it is not possible to fade the subpicture in DVDA.

I am working on a utility to edit when buttons are valid but it will be sometime
this summer before I might be able to get several bugs figured out.

You can accomplish the appearance of button fade-in by making the fade to an image of your main menu part of the introductory video. Of course, the buttons won't actually operate until the intro video is done.
