failed audio stream

I just installed movie studio/ architect and created a new project. I left all the paths to saved files at their default. Then I clicked make movie in studio and clicked create dvd option...it rendered just fine. Then i clicked send to architect so i could burn the dvd and i keep getting this error: The proper stream could not be found in the media file...the video opens in architect, but it seems that it cannot find the audio. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Most likely you rendered without the audio. Render the audio separate with the same file name except the .ac3.

i just tried again with a really short clip and it looks like it is creating the audio, still not working though when time to push it to architect. it created 4 files....untitled.ac3, untitled.ac3.sfl, untitled.mpg, & untitled.mpg.sfl

.ac3 is your audio file, does it have a size other than zero? Bring that into DVDA manually. You should give your project and file a name, maybe untitled is a problem name.

yeah that ac3 is 795 kb, and I tried manually adding it in....still no go. the vid file pops right in though. I also tried with different names other than untitled...didn't work either.

i just tried using the insert->media on that ac3 in architect and it said it is not the required type.. I'm lost

Which versions of VMS & DVDA are you using? There is a problem with DVDAS, build 150 not recognising AC3. You'll see more about this and the solution in other threads.
