Hi there! anybody pls help me how to create a DVD using DVD Architect 5.0. I have no problems before when I used .avi and mpeg files. Since we`re using now Sony camcorder - HDR-XR350VE, the files are all .m2ts and what i did was i rendered the video file first in Sony Vegas HD Platinum 10. Then i create DVD using DVD Architect and insert the media there. Then when i clicked on make DVD for preparing and rendering files to burn, the porcess will only last about 38% and stopped. I tried 5 times and i failed. Will you pls reply to me asap.

Many thanks iin advance, melissa

There are a number of reasons this could be happening -- but you can usually avoid a lot of these types of problems by not using video directly from a camcorder in your DVD Architect project. That's what Vegas is for, after all!

Your camcorder shoots in a couple of different formats -- both high def and standard def. Whichever you're shooting, set up Vegas for that format.

Then go to Make Movie or Render As and output your video as a DVD ready MPEG. Or even select the option to port your video to DVD Architect. Vegas will then produce the ideal video format for DVD Architect to work with. This will mean that DVD Architect will need to do little or no rendering to create your DVD.

The one other issue is that you don't say how long your movie is. But a standard DVD can only hold about 60-70 minutes of video. If you're trying to squeeze more than that on a disc, it could be that it's too much for DVD Architect to squeeze down to size.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the reply.

Our camcorder was set to a High Definition format. Will you pls tell me how to set up VMS HD platinum 10 into a High Definition format? The test video i rendered was only 10 min just to test first.
