Using Movie Studio 16 using Windows 10 Pro 64 bit with 16GB RAM OS Build 19042.804
Trying to compile to DVD get message:

"The selected encode format requires the download of an add-on software module the first time the format is used.
If you wish to proceed, ensure your PC is connected to the internet, then click 'Yes'."

CLICKED ON Yes

THEN:

"Operational error
Installation failed, code: -1
On some systems this problem can be avoided by starting the application with the Windows 'Run as Administrator' option then rendering the project again. After the component has downloaded successfully, the application can be closed and restarted normally, without the 'Run as Administrator' option."

Have reinstalled Studio + updates.
Do you know what software component needs downloading? I have compiled similar video using Studio 15 and it is OK

What format and resolution is your source video and what camcorder or software created it?

Thank you for you response.

Video is from screen capture - compacted slightly by Handbrake to m4v format. Compiles OK using Sony Studio 15!
I'm wondering whether some of my settings are wrong. Have bitten the bullet and updated to 17 and that seems to be working!
