faster motion video a little fuzzy?

Making the switch to HD on Vegas 11. I've got h264 files and MXF files (witth the Raylight add on) to choose from. Nice shots, camera pretty still, with a car going thru at maybe 20mph. Regardless of h264 or MXF, the car has a little 'ghosting'. If I pause it's almost like 2 frames are visable. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Steve

Are you talking about ghosting in the Preview or Rendered video?

Are your Project frame rate and Render frame rate exactly the same as your source video?

What Preview settings are you using?

Are you looking at interlaced frames on a progressive screen? Unless deinterlaced, you will always see two images of a moving object. Video viewers can do different things, such as do nothing, show one field only, double rate display (convert each field into a frame), etc.

I have found this to be an occasional glitch inside of Vegas that will carry out all the way to render when it starts occuring. And the strangest part is that if I open another project with the exact same type of video the ghosting is gone. Come back to what I was working on and its back.

Sometimes a restart will cure the ghosting other times I have had to restart my computer.
