A vegas project I have keeps crashing vegas when I attempt to open it. The project was created in a previous version of vegas, however, I am not sure which one (5 or 6).

I work with Chris and witnessed the crash issue.

Now at home, I am experiencing a similar thing. The only thing I can think of is that we both just upgraded to 7d.

Here is my error:

Just so you know, that simply posting these here does not mean that Sony engineering is aware or even looking at the problem. You should formally escalate issues like this via the support link at the top of the page.

I'vd had the same problem with mp3's downloaded from the internet.
Not all mp3's are created equal. Since my mp3's played in lots of other software,
I was able to convert the files to wav ( either with Vegas or other software) and then the wav files worked with Vegas 7.0d --
What was weird is that the mp3's that crashed Vegas on opening the veg file, could be loaded in a clean instance of Vegas and then rendered out to wav or whatever.
So far all the mp3's I've had a problem with were downloaded from small websites of vanity type music from bands, singers, musicians trying to get exposure.
Weird.
