FCP/VV Interoperability

I made some projects in class on a G4 with FinalCut Pro. What is the best format to export the final product to a file with the intent of printing-to-tape with my VV-equipped PC and Firewire camera..

I tried exporting to DV Stream in FCP (a .DV file via Quicktime export) but it is totally riddled with artifacting (in the same way DV AVIs are when you play them through Windows Media Player) even on the NTSC screen coming out of the D/A of my camera.

You could try exporting a CMX 3600 edl from FCP and recapturing the DV clips from Vegas. You'll probably have to do a little cleanup in the Vegas timeline, but a cuts-only list should work ok.

Is there no video file format that FCP can export that will print to tape clearly in SFvidcap (print to tape)? I don't expect to be able to rebuild a FCP project into a .VEG file.. but I would like to print to tape via SFvidcap without nasty artifacts.

Render as uncompressed D1 quicktime from FCP, render that to DV .avi in Vegas and print to DV tape.
