Feeling Stupid... Where is ProTiler in V-8?

Working with trial version for now, and have Generated Text media on track. I've scoured drop-down menus, right-clicks, etc. Help file shows "Layout" (the ProTiler part, I assume) as to how to use it, but not where it is.

That option does not show up in text media properties (only Edit, Placement, Properties, Effects). Probably looking the the wrong place...

As I said, feeling stupid so need your "duh" direction to this place in V-8

It's one of the Generated media's.

Click on the "Media Generators" tab. In the list will be a new one called "ProType Titler"

Under View select Media Generators and under that tab you'll find Pro Type Titler. Next to it will be a couple of presets such as Sample text. Drag that down to your timeline and the titler will appear where your Project media is.

To be clear, the old Text tool still exists in Vegas 8.

I couldn't find ProTitler either at first. I thought this was kinda dumb, but then I figured the reason the old Text Tool exists, is for backwards compatibility. So they when you load your V7 project, all your text comes along with it.

I just played with ProTitler a few minutes before coming to to work, but I couldn't figure out how to keyframe.

Thanks, I needed that -- still not feeling to bright today :) It seems a wee bi convoluted to find it, but it's there (besides, it's the first Vegas with it, gotta give the Madison wizards time to refine/simplify things).

I'll have to fool around with it to get used to it, but on first look and tweaking, it looks pretty cool.

busterkeaton, each of the settings in the ProTitler have a swirly icon to the left. Click one of those icons, and a keyframe timeline / envelope will be added for that setting.

Just a question....How I can add to a title a Curve Preset?

I noticed that in ProType there are some Curve Preset ready to be used...but I don't know the way!

OK, I found it!

The curves must be placed directly on the Titler timeline.
