Happy New Year to you! Pardon my lack of non-English languages.
I'll ask my 6 year old son if I'm right. He's been in Spanish classes for 2 years.

A bill that goes into effect today encourages the use of tilde (~), etc. characters in Spanish language place names in California.

This would avoid names like "Ano Nuevo" for the State Park just south of San Francisco.

(Año Nuevo means New Year, Ano Nuevo means New Anus...)

Have you BEEN to that park? Maybe the spelling is intentional.

Ho-ho, that was a subb-tle insult.

I was there last time 2-3 years ago, what happened?
