Hi All,
I've got a problem that's driving me batty. I'm editing with Vegas4 and authoring with DVADA. I have a project that's using fleid alternating 3D. So each frame has two fields that are different from one another. I'm editing the project and everything looks fine since it's non-interlaced on the computer. Once I burn it and look at it with the 3D shutterglasses certain scenes exhibit an alignment problem. The edges of things have an obnoxious stair-stepped quality. Where this happens and when seems to be somewhat random. For instance, I had a scene which showed this effect so I removed it from the front of the film and stuck it towards the end. And it worked fine. This alignment problem also occurs when I blue screen a clip but usually only one of the two clip shows the jagged edges--the other one is okay.
I believe that the problem is in the compression--in the rendering. I've tried varous settings but nothing seems to fix the problem. Since the film is 73 minutes long with AC3 sound all of it has to be compressed. The problem occurs on the first render so I can't blame DVDA--even though it may be adding to the problem later.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
