Hi folks,

Are there any users here using a AVCHD camera? Is AVCHD field order Upper or Lower first? Vegas is showing that it is upper.

I am trying to separate fields in avisynth and having the video go forwards and backwards and forwards etc... after tell avisynth to swap the fields all is fine.

I thought this may be a problem with Vegas putting the fields in the incorrect order. But after a few tests I think that AVIsynths Seperatefields is assuming bottom first and thus separating the fields in the wrong order.

So what is the correct field order for AVCHD? Top? If so then I assume that Avisynth is thinking the bottom field is first when separating the fields.
