Fields in DV-material/avi/mpeg2

Hi,
sorry my english is not very good.
I have a problem with vegas. I wanted to create an imagevideo for my father. The material is filmed with a jvc dv4000 (miniDV), when i see the video in vegas preview or even if i render the final movie to AVI or MPEG2 i see strange horizontal Lines at fast movement(fast camera-movement) in the video (even on a dvd in a dvd-player). a friend told me some time ago that this must be the fields. I should do a de-fielder in a compositing program, but this doesn´t work. Have I made a mistake at the capturing, or do i have to do changes with upper/lower fields first options. I really need help, i can not finish the movie with this errors
, it looks not very professionell and i don´t know much about this field-things.
Thanks for help,
Andre

These lines are likely only visible on your computer monitor. Computer monitors are progressive scan, while a television (usually) is interlaced. Viewing interlaced media on a computer monitor will display interlaced lines on the computer screen. Burn your project to a DVD or print it to tape so you can watch it on a television, you'll likely not see these lines on the television.
You've made no mistakes, this is a VERY common question.

Hi,
i allready tried to burn a dvd and watch the video on a tv-monitor, but that doesn´t look any different to the pc-monitor. but mainly i want to put the video on a website to download or to watch directly on the site. what about that case ? do i have to set the settings to progessiv ?
