File corruption? Beeping noise

I bought Sony Vegas Platinum 11 about two years ago and I've hardly had any legitimate issues with it. School and work had been taking up a lot of my time in the recent months, and today was the first time I had gotten onto the program since maybe January.

Whenever I playback the clips, a random beeping noise occurs every few seconds. I've moved the audio and video and whatever else may be in the way, but it doesn't seem to be the clips. The beeping noise will occur with no media in its way. Since this occurs in more than one Vegas file (though not all of them), I was wondering if this was some kind of file corruption?

I haven't installed or uninstalled any media-related programs because I just haven't had any time to. I also didn't see any topics relating to this specifically, but if there is I'd appreciate a reference link. Thanks!

You're still running in demo mode. You need to activate the software. It *should* be giving you to do so or stay in demo mode when you start it up. As to why it's switched back to demo i have no idea. You may have to use the "live chat" feature with customer support to get it reactivated again.
