File Deletion Question

After successfully capturing 15 clips into SVMS, I wanted to completely delete the first clip form the project as well as from the computer so I clicked on it in the Project Media panel and chose 'Remove from project and delete file' and it disappeared, however, when I reopened the project at a later time, a window popped up and stated that the following file could not be found (the same one that I deleted). It gave me 6 choices and I chose 'Ignore file and leave it offline' just so I could keep working. When I search for the file (one of the other options) it of course can't find it. This pop up is really annoying and it happens each time I open the project. Why is it prompting me for a missing file when I deleted it and how to I stop Vegas from looking for it?

Thanks

Is there a chance you didn't save the project after deleting the file? Is it still referenced on the timeline somewhere? Either of these two things will cause the message you are seeing.

Try to press the little lightning icon up left in the project media vindow.
It deletes all media from the project media pool that is not in use.
Then save and close and reopen the project and if the not found message still appears you must be using the media somewhere.

Maybe you are only using some sound from the media down in the soundtracks and not the visible part of the video?
