File Format for Studio 9

I have been using Studio Vegas v9 for some years with good results. I normally transfer video clips from my Sony HD HandyCam recorder in the form *.m2ts Now I have tried to import clips from my Samsung phone (*.MP4) but the system will not accept them. Is there a simple way to convert the phone images into an acceptable form. I am using WIndows 7 op system.

You don't say in what way "the system will not accept them". Vegas Movie Studio 9 (if that is what you are using) is a few years old now. Try converting the files with Handbrake as its mp4 files are usually Movie Studio friendly but I don't know about your Version 9.
