file name help

one very annoying thing about vegas is that it always processes batches of files in reverse alphabetical and/or numeric order. for example: if i grab a bunch of files from my media view window and drop them in the work area of vegas, vegas will order them from Z to A. this also happens in CD architect. This is very very annoying when you've got a batch of files named "jazz_project_a, jazz_project_b, jazz_project_c" etc. because they always end up in reverse order and then you have to manually order all of the files.
is there a way to alter this bit of crappy programming?

This may not exactly apply to your situation, but it may.

I drag and drop files all the time. There is however a bug in Windows (GASP!) concerning multiple file selection.

The easiest way to show this is to bring up Explorer. Select files 1, 2, 3 ,4 & 5. In the left side of the right pane you should see a list of the files you just selected. You'll get 5 2 3 4 1. If you drag and drop these onto a track on VV, you'll get the screwy order.

The fix? Go back to Explorer and select files 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1. You'll see files 1 2 3 4 5 selected.

Amazing, isn't it.
