File Size Issues

Hello:
I am new to DVD Architect and have a question regarding file size. I have a project all ready to go. It was rendered in Vegas Studio as an MPEG1. The total video length is 01:41:59:28. The rendered file is 1.3 gig. When I fly it into DVD Arch, it is showing a total file size of 6.5 gig and thus preventing me from running the disc. I also have chapter markers on the final video to set up a menu. I'm stumped. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks:
Rich

Rich, you should not be outputting the video from Vegas MS as an MPEG-1. MPEG-1's are obsolete technology with mediocre quality results -- which is why DVD Architect Studio is trying to "improve" it.

Rather, use Vegas MS's Make Movie and select the option to Burn to DVD. This will output your video in it's ideal format for DVD authoring. It even includes an option to port it directly into a DVD Architect project!

Also, check DVD Architect's File/Properties to ensure your DVD is set up as a 4.7 gig DVD.

Great news, Rich!

Check out my book on Amazon if you're interested. It's loaded with this kind of step by step instruction for working with the program! ;)
