File Types

I just got a digital CamCorder that writes to DVD-RAM.
Seems the file has an extension of VRO. Do I need something like a special plug-in or something for VF to read this file? I don't have the MPEG2 plugin.

Or, do I have to do it the slow way and play the movie through my video capture card to an MPEG file?

There is currently no video editing software that will read the VRO file format. I doubt any of them are seriously considering adding support for it. MPEG format does not lend itself well to editing.
