Film distribution

I have 52 minutes PAL DV footage on HDD, the size of film is about 11 Gbytes. I would like to distribute this subj on CD-R disks (750 Mbytes) to my friends. It will be good if people could see the film on PC or TV (for example, Windows Media Player and video card with tv in/out).

Question: What is the codec, format, aspect ratio and etc. in VV3 I have to use for the best results?

Thanks

I'd like to know this too, what is the best format to save a file (for sharing)? Is WMP the most popular, and if a 'friend' has an older player, will it DL the newest version, or tell them the file just won't play (unless they upgrade)??

Thanks

If you want to fit the whole 52min. on one disc, VCD is a good option. Not only does it play on most stand-alone DVD players, but by opening the .dat file in the MPEGAV folder, anyone with Windows Media Player can watch it.
