"final" version after comments - thx again.

Well this is all I really had time for, but I think that it was substantially imroved:

Video - if you add "pre" just before the ".wmv" you can still see the previous one, but the difference is minimal - it just helps it some.

I added a couple of images for overlay where appropriate and was able to clip up some of the speaking mishaps by the speaker with it.

I also upped the audio in some bits however I may have to change it still a bit

I didn't remove the conference footage because I felt that once I did - it looked too much like it was "I only speak in churches and only at this one church that you only ever see me in" so I left in footage of the other one, but just simply added more of the higher quality footage, and also exchanged some of the conference footage.

I added an intro (all in vegas) and anyway - that's about it.

Have a gander see the "finished" product.

nice improvements - you've done well with what you had. it would have been nice to actually hear the guy making a salient point or two - but I know the guy clipped your wings. good luck with it

What a difference a few cut-always make. Knowing what you had to work with, you did a great job!

Dave, the thing that stands out (visually) to me the most is the framing. It looks like the talking heads consistantly have a hair too much headroom with the eyes being too close to the vertical center. I noticed some clips looked cropped at the bottom but not top. If this cropping area wasn't there it migh improve the composition a bit.

It's not far off...just a hair. Thanks for sharing.

Not sure I follow on the cropping thing - if you could explain - I'm always looking to improve my skillz :)

Dave

BTW - I did make a couple of changes after this version that you guys saw - one was to change the 16:9 crop that vegas did to match the 16:9 crop that My camera ran with those cutaway images (seems the letterboxed DVX100A footage is just a line or two larger on top and bottom than vegas 16:9 crop).

Lowered the starting music so that it wasn't so prominent

and

Added the "logo" at the end with a small audio clip of a line that encapsulated the purpose of this guys speaking seminars etc...

Excellent job. I appreciate great lighting in a shoot like this. Editing is very good. The music is a little elementary at the beginning. Put if that is the only thing I can pick apart it must be awesome.

Great job

Nice project. Agree with Chirs on the lighting. As you say this is the final my comments might be useful for a future project?

I like the compass thing though I think it disappeared too quickly after it stopped spinning. If I had not remembered your previous post seeking a 3D compass, I might have missed what it was. Also I found the text a bit too close to the compass and too brief. (I'm a real slow reader and tend to leave my titles on a long time)

I must have missed the first thread where you posted a draft, sorry.

NP - and I think I found a guy to do the compass for future things, just have to see what it would run, a guy I admin on a server with (when I have free time) and he does 3D animation for some TV show and teaches (3D animation) at NYU. So anyway - here's hoping that it's not so true what they say ("those who can't do....").

Nice. I would agree with Jim that the initial text time and the first lower third is a bit quick. Maybe a few more seconds would help.

The only other thing, and this is just a pet peeve of mine, is the flipping of full screen to wide screen. I tend to stick with one or the other and not mix them unless it is for effect. Like I said, it is just a pet peeve and I know we all have to work with what we have...
