Finally received an upgrade email here in the UK. Vegas Pro upgrade £199 (approx. $245) until 30th October. Looks like the upgrade price is fixed at $250 until then. I'll pass. Roll on VP15!

If Magix are smart they will have some special Christmas upgrade offer. The upgrade offer as it stands is a miserable insult to longtime users of Vegas. Magix need to know that part of the value of Vegas is the online community from the old Sony forum. It's poor business sense to alienate that community, especially when indication was made that there would be an offer surpassing the Summer buy 13 get 14 free deal.
