Finally, some changes!

Well, alot of the bugs in 4/5 have been addressed it seems, though I haven't yet investigated all of them!
VST/VSTi is now fully supported, along with automation!
Automatic input monitoring has improved dramatically and other related features have been added (can't remember the details, something about punch-in recording...)
Pan options now exist, so you can revert back to the routing scheme of the old days!
Metronome bug has been fixed, and... can you take it?... tempo maps just like in ACID!! We can have audio/video events scale with or without the changes.
This is great, but it gets better....
Track Folders, group faders, track locking (not to be confused with event/object locking)
More options having to do with the gui, like loading in different icon sets for buttons.
Toggle the viewing of event names via single button, as well as markers, grids, event tracks can be set as 'hiding' and be toggled on/off - which is really cool if you happen to be working with a hundred+ tracks!
MIDI - oh my gosh, it can't be true... but it IS!!! It's actually much better then what we now see in ACID, but similar. There are groove quantize options, random alteration options, and other goodies like tempo tapping to generate tempo maps.
Along with this we can now have MIDI commands and sysex messages control other parameters of just about any object/track/plug-in/etc...
Similar to the above note, velocity can be assigned to control other parameters, so true side-chaining is possible, along with obvious other creative things. (These things also apply to video btw!)

..hmm, anything else I've missed, anyone?

Oh, if you haven't figured out yet, the beta is available for us to download and try.

Let's hope some of that makes it into the real Vegas 6.

My favorites would be:

1) VST support
2) Folder tracks
3) Tempo map
4) Freeze
