Finished DVD Stops

I've tried two methods, and both have the identical failure. One was dragging an .mpg (with sound) to the Video/Audio tracks, and the other was using a prepared folder (AUDIO TS and VIDEO TS). Both previewed fine in DVDA, but after burning, they both stopped after ~6 seconds, on my player attached to my TV even though visually it looked like the DVD was written to. This is a single movie, no menus, etc. One thing is, there is a chapter flag on the timeline a few seconds into the project, but I can't tell if that is where it's exactly stopping.

I've seen a lot of talk on this forum about rendering the sound in .AC3 (I think) but when I did that, the file totally mushroomed in size to ~ 20 gig, and I couldn't compress it onto the DVD. I have my .mpg2 perfectly created...I just want to put it on a DVD!!! And hey, while we're at it, how can I output the best possible quality? The .mpg is 2.7gig

Would try to check the dvd on another standalone player or pc

Rendering from Vegas for DVDA use one of the "dvda architect video stream" templates. Render the same selection as .ac3 for your audio
