Firewire Preview - Faint Rolling Lines

Does anybody else see faint rolling (bottom to top) lines when previewing through firewire? I have 2 computers that I connect (separately) via firewire to a monitor. It happens with either one.

I was using my camcorders for this, but just bought a Pyro DV Bridge to do the job. I saw the same thing with the camcorders, but the Pyro makes it a tad more noticable. I'm used to it, but it would be great if it was just a nice, clean image.

Just a thought, (and the name escapes me at the moment), but it sounds like interference seeping through the cable- you can try placing one of this things that I cannot remember the name of on the cord (basically it is a magnet that clips around the cord to help keep interference down).
You could also try a different firewire cord as well to see if that makes a difference.

I wish I could remember what those things are called. (I ran 75ft of RCA cords in our church sanctuary and it had lines rolling up the screen. I placed some of these [things] on them and the lines cleared up to where you can't really see them unless you are looking for them.

Sounds to me like it's either the monitor or the analogue interconnect to the Pyro. Almost certainly not the 1394 cable.

Ferrite beads on the video cable might help or it could be a ground loop problem.
