Firmware upgrades for DVD duplicators

I'm going to be purchasing a DVD duplication system for my church in the near future.

One question that I have not seen discussed on the forums is how firmware updates are accomplished on the DVD burners in these rack systems. Is it possible to do them all at once with a CD in the ROM device, can they be done indifvidually from a CD or do they have to be physically connected to a PC and upgraded one at a time?

The controller has a setting for updating the firmware of all the burners at the same time. I believe you copy it to a disc and insert the disc in the read drive. Some duplicators have USB connections to hook them up to a computer, but most don't.
