First Play

I'm using DVDA 2 and would like to do the following.

I have an hour and 25 minute video, it has a 40 second segment that I want to be played first when the DVD is loaded into a player. Then from there to have 2 menu options:
1) Play Movie
2) Scene selection

As well how should the structure appear in DVDA? Is there a sample that I can follow?

The 40 second video is in the same timeline as the 1 and 25 minute video. Should render the 40 second video first and then render the 1 and 25 minute video seperately or can I do everything I author it in Archietecht?
Thanks

You can render seperately and then author in DVDA .

0) create a new menu based project
1) drag your first play media into the project view pane
2) click once on the media (to select it), then at the top of the pane you'll see a little button with a star, click this and it will make your clip the first play clip.
3) double click the clip to navigate into it
4) Change the end action of the clip to link to the menu
5) double click on the menu in the project view - the menu should appear
6) drag your main movie fromthe explorer pane onto the menu
7) right click on the movie thumbnail, and select "insert scene selection menu" (if you already put chapter marks in vegas and then exported them when you rendered - otherwise double click on the movie to navigate into it and set the chapter marks on the timeline).

Hi Scott,

It worked exactly the way you listed below! Thanks

One quick question, when you create the scene selection page a little arrow appears, allowing you to navigate to the main menu. The arrow button is highlighted first when you go to the scene selection page, is there a way so make the first chapter point highlighted when you go to the scene selection?

Select the thumbnail on the main menu that is for the scene selection. In the link properties (on the property panel), change the destination button to be what you want.
