First Post, Last Post? Where's my burner gone?

Hello All,

I have never had any problems at all with any version of CDA so this is my first post. Hopefully it will also be my last so that I can continue using a normally trouble-free program.

I can burn an audio CD with Vegas 4.0b. I can burn an audio CD with CDA 4.0g running under Sound Forge 4.5h. However, CDA v5.0 has lost my burner. It seaches for a CD burner and says that there is none. It used to be OK. I do, of course, have all three programs installed on my current system, just in case. Well, the just in case has now come up.

Q1 - Why can CDA 5.0 no longer see my burner?
Q2 - What can I do to fix it?

What version of windows are you working with? I say this because if you have xp most likely you could roll the system back to a time when everything worked. Have you changed any system componets lately?

I am using Win98SE and have not changed anything that I know of. As I have mentioned, the burner is detected by all other SOFO programs as well as Adaptec Easy CD Creator. I will probably try an un-install/re-install but it's a bother as I'll have to re-register on-line, that's all.
