Looks like a lot of work went into this. My first impression is maybe it's too long but then again it's not my family so your audience may be able to stick with it. The fact that Youtube couldn't handle it doesn't help.

I found the huge variety of transitions and colored backgrounds you used a bit distracting. I think you might have used every transition available in vegas and wax! lol... Next time try to pick a few related transitions and stick to that set and see how you like it. I like using simple pan & scan and cross fades almost exclusively when I make these type of videos.

Some of the cuts between photos or between video clips were a bit jumpy. I also noticed some abrupt music changes.

If this was your first Vegas project I'm guessing you learned a lot of new tricks and I'm sure your family loved it.

Can I be brutal ?

Two vital things in my opinion:

1) Three minutes is good. Four is OK, anything more gets boring, especially with this sort of material. Don't feel obligated to use every shot. Use the best shots. Chop it down to 3 minutes.
2) Never use cute transitions. Never. At all. Ever. For anything. They always look amateurish.

Thanks to both of you for your valuable feedback. I will certainly include this in my next project. The length of the show was came from the requester.
