First V8Pro Project completed - happy... but

I have designed a menu that has animated buttons. They slide in from different positions to a final resting place and look quite cool.

That is great for when the DVD is first played but, after each short film on the DVD has been played I'd like to return to a different menu where the buttons are already in place.

Is this possible?

Cheers

I'll bet it is if you create a separate copy of that menu without the button slide motion, and make the end-action of each video clip point to the second menu.

Make another menu with the animated characters where you want them to be and then make the 'end action' of each of the short films point to this new menu.

>>I'd like to return to a different menu<<

I think this is possible in DVDA. Never have tried this myself but you'd probably use "End Action" in the Media Properties. Look up help for "End Action" --- let us know how it goes.
Curious myself.

That is what I thought and have acheived to some part.

I created a new menu, then went back to the original menu, copied the buttons from their final destination and pasted into the new menu.

Unfortunately, it also pasted the animations. I attempted to delete the keyframes that are set prior to the buttons' final resting places and move the last ones to the begining of the time-line but that seem to cause all manner of problems with buttons disappearing, etc.

I wanted everything in exactly the same place with maximum of ease but it seems I would have to do this manual by noting where the original buttons are, then entering their co-ordinates in the new menu.

Cheers

OK, I have acheived my goal as per my last post.

Maybe there is an easier way to do things but it was fun getting there.
