Fixed a problem in Win2000 installation!

I just figured out how to fix a problem I was having with an installation of VF1.0
on a Win2000 system. I had to rebuild the system due to a virus. I reinstalled
VF1.0 as administrator, but couldn't run it as a standard user - got messages about
command line parameters being incorrect, and it couldn't find the transitions or
effects menus. So, I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall as a standard user.
Can't do that either. Finally, I attempted to install as a standard user but
when prompted for whether I wanted to continue the install as myself or as the
administrator, I responded administrator.

This worked. Solved all the problems. I'd like to know why the install does NOT
work when I'm logged in as the administrator, but it does work when I'm logged in
as myself and opt to 'install as administrator' when prompted. By the way, when it
was originally installed as administrator, the program DID work when I remained
logged in as administrator, but I'm not inclined to use a machine that way even
when I'm the only user.

Can anyone explain?

Is this problem fixed in VF2.0 ?

Thanks,

I installed vf2.0c a couple of weeks ago with no problems, as non-administrator.

I've installed s/w as Administrator and been asked if it should be available to other users, but I can't remember seeing it the other way round. I suspect the problem has to do with file access permissions rather than anything in VF.
