I have some footage of Morton Downey Jr. chroma keyed onto various backgrounds. This was made with an analog video mixer that had a blue-key feature. The resultant footage has a thick blue edge on the right side of his face though. I wanted to use the chroma-key feature of Vegas *upon* this footage to replace that blue stripe with nothing [black], to simulate a shadow instead. I was successful in doing this, except that turning on the effect seems to wash out the tint of his face, no matter what sensitivity settings I set in the chroma key.
Any ideas why this would be? Is there a better feature I could use? Like a 'color-replace' feature?
