I too have the Brother P-Touch labeler. It gives you lots of options. My two units are 10+ years old, but the new tapes still work in them. I just bought some tape that has near-permanent adhesive, and another newer tape formulation that is super flexible for wrapping around cables. Either one of these might be better for the flash drive (which I have labled using the earlier tape formulations), but for different reasons: the super adhesive simply won't come off, and the flexible one can probably be wrapped around the drive/stick which might give you additional options for how the label looks.

Thanks for the info on the Label makers.
I was also interested getting feedback on which flash drives might be more label friendly and give us the maximum space for labeling.

Since i have never seen the same ones on the shelf from one store visit to the next, each time it's a new stock of different drives, about the only advice i can give is to go look to see what's there. In general you probably want slightly larger rather than smaller, with a smooth untextured surface. If it looks shiny then the label should stick quite well. Matte surfaces will stick less well, while a pebbled/textured surface won't stick well at all.
