Different looking entities selling the same product.

They provide a link to an On2 VFW codec that'll make VP6 encoded AVIs but I'm not sure what you'd do once you've made te avi file.

Have a look at this message I posted a while ago. Shows you how to do it for free (for non-commercial purposes) if you're prepared to fiddle around a bit.

On2's FlixPro is better than FlixStandard, but if your not delivering professional content, for a broad audience, FlixStandard is more than good enough.

I've worked with b oth of them, and the main difference is Pro's support for 2-pass encoding.
